Who are the people that attend SHIP?

Curious about who attends the two-week shamanic breathwork immersion/training called SHIP?

Look at these people.

These are the folks who were on the inaugural SHIP (Shamanic Healing Initiatory Process) Level 1 shamanic breathwork training/immersion in Egypt with me. They are no different from the folks who attend any of Venus Rising’s global SHIP programs.

We are regular folks, of all ages, of all demographics.

We are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, and brothers.

We are artists, blue-collar workers, healers, students, business owners, writers, retirees, corporates. Single, married, divorced, widowed.

We are folks living life, getting by, some financially abundant, some working hard to get established in careers, others making new career changes guided more by soul purpose than cultural expectations.

On the surface, we all look to be happy, healthy humans, maybe just like you.

However…….

What’s really going on underneath, when we allow ourselves to peel back a few layers, to go within and feel what’s in the heart?

What happens when we create a safe container to do some in depth healing work over two-weeks, held by facilitators who’ve walked this path over and over?

We find the stories and the deep-rooted thoughts in the depths of our psyches that keep us small, that make us think we’re not good enough. Or that we’re too big, too much, too this, too that.

We uncover the wounds from our childhood and the behaviors that kept us safe then but maybe don’t serve us so well now.

We find the big-T traumas and the little-T traumas and we allow the waves of suppressed emotion to safely express itself on the breathwork floor.

We find we can let down the masks we’ve held up for so long and become more of ourselves, going back to our true essence of our wholeness, goodness, and love.

We find that we can cry together and allow ourselves to be held and supported, sometimes for the first time in a long time.

We find that we can face the thoughts and the pain we’ve been carrying and that we’re not so different from anyone else.

We find that we may be co-dependents or addicts and that most people carry tendencies of one or the other.

We find that we have the capacity to heal, to feel our strength, our power, to speak our truth.

We find that we are humane humans all here in this earthwalk, this melting pot on Pachamama, just doing the best we can.

And when we are willing to feel, to see, to acknowledge without judgment, all the things we are, the dark, the light, no difference, then we can begin to sit up taller, radiate our truths, share more authentically, meet people with more depth, cut the bullshit, take responsibility for our actions, and move from being the children of God to adults of God, for the great creator is in all of us. We can begin to work with Spirit and become more aligned with our soul purpose, whatever that may look like, for there is no right or wrong way to be in our lives, except to be at peace, have more joy, and be more love in the world.

These are the people that come to SHIP, whether they fully understood what or why they attended, there was a whisper in their hearts that said they needed to be there.
