Altars, Part 2

In every Shamanic Breathwork ceremony, I create a central altar to help anchor and hold the energies that are being brought forward for that journey. The altars will always contain the elements of the four directions and then I add sacred objects that feel called to be present that day – this could be crystals, flowers, stones, deity figures, plants, ancestor photos, instruments, and always oracle cards.

This is how we create ritual and ceremony – by honoring and connecting to nature and Great Mystery, through devotional acts of prayer and acknowledgment that there is something greater than us – we call on Great Spirit and anyone else to come be present with us as we breathe and journey into the depths of our psyches and our souls.
