Reflections on 2025

I’m lying in bed this morning on this first day of 2026 listening to the pitter-patter of rain gently falling outside my window. In my liminal state between sleep and awakening, I find myself reflecting on the year that’s just passed.
2025:
Hard, raw, heart-break, grief, sad, death, letting go, tender, separation, decoupling, disentangling, shedding, surrender, break-downs, break-throughs, rest, pause, awareness, courage, growth, heart-expansion, spark, excitement, achievements, celebrations, more feelings, more love.
It was a year of EVERYTHING. Very big feels from one spectrum to the other. The heart with its infinite capacity to hold and feel so much and the body with its infinite wisdom to communicate to the mind if we’re willing to listen.
2025, the year of the Snake, shedding what no longer serves and cannot be carried forward for our soul evolution. Endings. Completions. Slowly unwinding from a 28 marriage with as much consciousness and love that we can carry. Completing 18 years of rural living. Leaving the land, leaving home.
Deep listening and honoring of the heart. Allowing the waves of emotions to flow through. Riding the undulations of grief together with joy and laughter. The both/and. It’s remarkable we can feel it all, over and over.
So much new. New ways of being, new ways of thinking. Watching the mind, feeling the heart. New house, urban living. Figuring out who I am as a solo sovereign being and what parts of myself needed reclaiming.
Celebrations, achievements, travel, soul purpose. Over 50 Shamanic Breathwork sessions between facilitating others and breathing myself. Graduating with my doctorate in shamanic psycho-spiritual studies – a four year undertaking. Support staff for the SHIP training in Egypt. Gearing up to teach SHIP in 2026.
Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude:
For my inner circle who hold me without judgment.
For those who trust me to hold them via breathwork, shamanic counseling, and friendship.
For my four-legged Nina who brings me so much joy.
Blessings and gratitude to all of you in my world near and far. I look forward to intersecting with you somewhere in this big bold world in 2026!
